How TEREA Pearl Capsules Work: UAE Guide (2026)

TEREA Pearl sticks contain a crushable capsule in the filter. Clicking it releases the additional flavour described for that edition; leaving it unclicked keeps the base profile. The capsule changes flavour, not device compatibility: every TEREA Pearl stick is made for IQOS ILUMA and ILUMA i only.

This guide answers the practical capsule questions adult users ask in the UAE—where the pearl sits, how to identify capsule editions, what clicking changes and what it does not. For a broader comparison of product-name families, use the separate Menthol vs Pearl vs Regular guide.

Where is the capsule in a TEREA Pearl stick?

The pearl is positioned in the filter section. Official IQOS product descriptions refer to activating the added flavour “on a click,” and official guidance for capsule editions describes clicking the pearl in the filter tip. Do not cut open or disassemble the stick to find it. TEREA contains a sharp metal component and should be kept intact and away from children.

What happens when you click a TEREA Pearl?

Clicking the capsule releases the second flavour note listed for that particular edition. The base and added notes are not universal across the Pearl range. For example, official IQOS descriptions identify Oasis Pearl as a toasted tobacco blend that gains a cooling tropical-fruit note after the click, while other Pearl names describe different added notes.

The practical choice is optional:

• Unclicked: the stick keeps its base profile.
• Clicked: the capsule releases the additional note described for that edition.

Capsule activation does not turn the stick into a different product, extend a session or alter the heating system. It also does not establish that the clicked version is stronger, better or safer.

When should the capsule be clicked?

Follow the instructions supplied with the exact product and your IQOS ILUMA device. Do not pierce, cut, ingest or dismantle the stick. If the pack or individual product page does not clearly identify a capsule edition, do not assume that it contains one based only on pack colour.

How to identify a Pearl edition before ordering

1. Check the complete product name. “Pearl” is the clearest catalogue signal for the capsule-led family.
2. Read the profile description. A reliable listing should distinguish the base profile from the note released after the click.
3. Confirm the origin market. Japan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Italy and Uzbekistan do not carry identical Pearl line-ups.
4. Open the actual product page. Similar names from different markets are separate catalogue items and may have different prices.

Browse the complete TEREA Pearl category when the capsule format is your starting point. If the origin matters first, use the TEREA-by-country hub.

Pearl families currently represented in the UAE catalogue

The live TereaStore catalogue includes several Pearl families across different origin markets. Stock and price can change, so the category and individual product pages remain the controlling sources.

• Oasis Pearl: editions whose product descriptions pair a tobacco base with an added tropical-fruit-style note. Compare the Oasis Pearl range.
• Sun Pearl: a capsule family sold in several market versions. Use the Sun Pearl category to compare the exact origin and current listing.
• Other Pearl names: Tidal Pearl, Twilight Pearl, Provence Pearl, Starling Pearl, Riviera Pearl and other market-specific editions appear in the wider range.

For all current families and prices in one place, see the complete UAE TEREA flavour list.

Do Pearl sticks work in every IQOS device?

No. TEREA Pearl sticks work in IQOS ILUMA and ILUMA i devices, including One, Standard and Prime formats. They do not work in IQOS BONDS, which uses BLENDS sticks, and they do not work in IQOS 3 DUO or older blade-based devices, which use HEETS.

The capsule has no effect on that rule. The TEREA, BLENDS and HEETS compatibility guide explains all three stick systems.

Does every Pearl carton contain the same number of sticks?

TereaStore lists the Pearl products covered by this guide by the carton: 10 packs of 20 sticks, or 200 sticks total. Current prices vary by origin and edition. Check the live TEREA price guide and then confirm the individual product page before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

Do all TEREA sticks have a capsule?

No. Pearl identifies the capsule-led family. Many TEREA editions do not contain a click capsule.

Do I have to click a TEREA Pearl capsule?

No. The capsule is optional. Clicking it releases the additional note described for that edition.

Can I click the pearl before inserting the stick?

Use the product and device instructions supplied with your purchase. Never open or disassemble a TEREA stick.

Does clicking the capsule change nicotine content?

This guide does not assign a nicotine figure or claim that capsule activation changes nicotine delivery. The click releases an added flavour note.

Why do two Pearl products with similar names cost different amounts?

Origin market and exact edition matter. Similar names from different markets are separate catalogue items with their own live prices.

Can I use a Pearl stick in IQOS BONDS?

No. BONDS takes BLENDS sticks only. TEREA Pearl sticks are for IQOS ILUMA and ILUMA i.

Adults 21+ only. TEREA contains nicotine, which is addictive, and is not risk-free. TereaStore.ae is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with Philip Morris International.
