What Is TEREA? The Beginner’s Guide for the UAE (2026)

TEREA is the range of tobacco sticks made for IQOS ILUMA devices. Each stick contains prepared tobacco with a small metal element inside; the ILUMA heats that element by induction — no blade, no cleaning, nothing to burn out. TEREA works only in ILUMA devices, and in the UAE cartons run from 120 to 230 AED depending on origin.

How a TEREA stick works

The ILUMA creates an electromagnetic field; the SMARTCORE metal element inside the stick heats from within and warms the tobacco around it. A stick runs approximately 14 puffs or six minutes. Insert it to the printed line on the filter, draw to start on i-generation devices, and dispose of the spent stick when the session ends. TEREA vs HEETS in one paragraph

“Terea” in English — what the name means

TEREA is a brand name, not a word that translates. What varies is the flavour line and the origin market printed on the pack — the same stick format is produced for Japan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Switzerland and Italy, and each market’s range carries its own flavours and pricing. Which devices run TEREA

Every ILUMA device: the i One at 160 AED, the i Standard at 260 AED and the i Prime from 340 AED. Not the older blade IQOS models — no version of TEREA works in an IQOS 3 DUO or Originals.
