IQOS ILUMA in Dubai: Compare i One, i Standard & i Prime

IQOS ILUMA is Philip Morris International’s blade-free heated-tobacco device line. Instead of burning tobacco at 600–800°C the way a cigarette does, ILUMA’s SMARTCORE induction system heats a TEREA stick from the inside at up to about 350°C — no flame, no ash, and no blade to clean or break. In the UAE, the current ILUMA i series costs 160 AED (i One), 260 AED (i Standard) and from 340 AED (i Prime), with limited editions from 320 AED. All three use the same TEREA SMARTCORE sticks and heat identically — what you pay for is format, display and finish, not a different experience.

The three models at a glance

* i Prime is 340 AED in most colourways; Garnet Red and Aspen Green are 350 AED. We show the real price per colourway on every product page.

IQOS ILUMA i One — 160 AED

Standard i One colourways all sell at 160 AED: Blue, Black, Violet, Terracotta Orange and Lime Green.

The i One is the whole system in one piece: no separate holder, nothing to dock. It is the lightest way into ILUMA and the device we recommend for a first TEREA setup or a glovebox backup. It uses the same SMARTCORE induction heating as the Prime — the 160 AED price buys the same session, in a simpler shell.

IQOS ILUMA i Standard — 260 AED

i Standard is stocked at 260 AED in Blue, Black, Violet and Terracotta Orange.

The i Standard is the classic two-part format: a slim holder you draw from and a pocket charger that tops it up between sessions. You get the touch dot display — battery, session countdown and status at a glance — in an aluminium body. For most daily users this is the balance point between price and features.

IQOS ILUMA i Prime — from 340 AED

i Prime is 340 AED in Breeze Blue and Midnight Black; Aspen Green and Garnet Red are 350 AED.

The i Prime is the flagship: same heating, same display features as the i Standard, wrapped in anodised aluminium with the textured door cover. Standard colourways are 340 AED; Garnet Red and Aspen Green are 350 AED.

What works in ILUMA — and what doesn’t

• TEREA SMARTCORE sticks: yes. Every ILUMA and ILUMA i device uses TEREA only. We stock 79 TEREA products across more than 50 flavour names from six markets — browse TEREA Japan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Switzerland and Italy, or see the full flavour and price list.
• HEETS: no. HEETS have no SMARTCORE element, so an ILUMA cannot heat them at all.
• TEREA in an old blade IQOS: never. The metal element inside a TEREA stick will damage a blade device (IQOS 3 DUO, Originals). One stick family per device generation — no exceptions.

Which one should you buy?

Buying your first device? The i One at 160 AED does everything the Prime does for 180 AED less. Smoke through the day and want status at a glance? The i Standard’s display and pocket charger earn the extra 100 AED. Want the device to feel as considered as the ritual? That’s the i Prime. Whichever you choose, the TEREA sticks — and the taste — are identical.

IQOS ILUMA — frequently asked questions

What is the difference between ILUMA i One, i Standard and i Prime?

Heating is identical across all three — SMARTCORE induction at up to about 350°C with TEREA sticks. The i One (160 AED) is a single all-in-one unit with LED indicators; the i Standard (260 AED) splits into holder and pocket charger and adds the touch dot display; the i Prime (from 340 AED) has the same features in a premium anodised-aluminium finish.

How much does IQOS ILUMA cost in Dubai?

160 AED for the i One, 260 AED for the i Standard, and from 340 AED for the i Prime (Garnet Red and Aspen Green are 350 AED). Limited editions run from 320 AED to 1,100 AED.

Do HEETS work in IQOS ILUMA?

No. ILUMA heats by induction and needs the SMARTCORE element inside TEREA sticks. HEETS have no such element and will not heat in any ILUMA device.

Can I use TEREA sticks in an IQOS 3 DUO?

No. TEREA sticks contain a metal heating element that will damage a blade device. TEREA is for ILUMA only; HEETS are for blade devices only.

Which TEREA flavours work with the ILUMA i series?

All of them. Every TEREA stick sold in the UAE works in every ILUMA device — more than 50 flavour names across Japan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Switzerland and Italy.

How fast is ILUMA delivery in Dubai?

1–2 hours in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, daily between 6 AM and midnight. Other emirates 12–24 hours. Free delivery on orders over 299 AED; cash on delivery available in all seven emirates.

Why do some i Prime colourways cost 350 AED instead of 340?

340 AED is the standard i Prime price. Garnet Red and Aspen Green are priced at 350 AED — that is the price on their product pages and at checkout, so there are no surprises.

Is a cheaper ILUMA worse for taste?

No. Taste comes from the TEREA stick and the SMARTCORE heating, which are identical across i One, i Standard and i Prime. The price difference buys format, display and materials.
